Dubai Humanitarian Wraps Up Conference and Global Meeting with Bold Vision for the Future of Humanitarian Action

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, XX May 2025: Under the theme “Sustainable Innovation in the Humanitarian Field,” Dubai Humanitarian convened leaders, experts, and changemakers at its dedicated pavilion at DIHAD 2025 to explore greener logistics, smarter data use, and the power of inclusive partnerships. Dubai Humanitarian reaffirmed its role as a catalyst for sustainable innovation and cross-sector collaboration in humanitarian response.

The pavilion hosted 46 speakers and 17 high-impact sessions, highlighting actionable solutions and showcasing innovations driving the future of aid. Opening the conference, HE Abdulla Al Shaibani, Board Member of Dubai Humanitarian, underscored the UAE’s commitment to embedding sustainability and resilience at the core of humanitarian efforts.

From climate-resilient logistics to financial sustainability, the pavilion served as a hub for forward-thinking dialogue and featured the award-winning Humanitarian Logistics Databank, a digital platform enabling real-time stockpile visibility and more coordinated emergency response, for a Global Safety Net. “This year we created a space where ideas met action and a collective commitment to do better for those in need took center stage. In an increasingly uncertain world, we came together to challenge convention and build a more agile, sustainable future for humanitarian response,” said Giuseppe Saba, CEO and Board Member of Dubai Humanitarian.

From the global platform of the pavilion to the meaningful reflections shared at our annual meeting, the week reaffirmed our commitment to leading with purpose. We are not just adapting to the future, we are shaping it. Together, these two events reflect Dubai Humanitarian’s evolving identity as a global platform powered by innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable action, in service of those who need it most,” Saba concluded.

Additional sessions explored emerging technologies, partnership models, and operational frameworks designed to elevate the sector’s readiness and long-term impact.

In the same week, Dubai Humanitarian brought together over 100 stakeholders for its annual Global Meeting at the Knowledge and Development Center. The gathering reflected on key milestones from 2024 and invited the freezone community, non-profit organisations, UN entities, and commercial companies, to continue collaborating to shape the humanitarian action future direction. A standout moment was the launch of the “Community Pulse” survey, a call for real-time member feedback to guide strategic decisions in the years ahead.

The meeting also celebrated outstanding contributions from regional and global organizations through the Dubai Humanitarian Awards, which honored excellence across four key categories:

  • Best Interactive Campaign: Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL)
  • Best SDG-Focused Project: Sparkle Malawi
  • Best Innovative Solution: International Medical Corps

Most Impactful Partnership: Life for Relief and Development
