The International Humanitarian City in Dubai (IHC) welcomed at its warehouses a formal visit from the German Federal Minister for Development Cooperation, Mr Gerd Müller and officials from the German ministry, to learn about IHC and the humanitarian community-based in Dubai.
IHC members representatives from WFP, UNHRD, UNHCR, WHO, UNICEF and K&N attended the visit.
Mr Giuseppe Saba, IHC CEO, welcomed the German Minister and gave an overview presentation of IHC role in various humanitarian projects, shedding light on the humanitarian community’s response in general and COVID-19 in specific. WFP and WHO highlighted their role and humanitarian activities from IHC.
This was followed by a tour to the IHC display showroom, presenting the Humanitarian Logistics Databank as an important logistics tool, various relief aid items stored by IHC members and IHC Cold Chain and Semi-automated Kitting Centre facilities.
