Dubai, UAE: The International Humanitarian City (IHC) is showcasing innovative humanitarian solutions at the GITEX Technology Week 2020, held at the Dubai World Trade Center from 6-10 December 2020.
IHC booth, part of the Smart Dubai stand in Shaikh Saeed hall 3, will showcase innovative humanitarian solutions by IHC such as the Humanitarian Logistics Databank, which provides the humanitarian community with a common database platform on humanitarian aid stocks and flows in all humanitarian hubs across the world, to enhance emergency preparedness and response.
Mr Giuseppe Saba, CEO of IHC said: “We are proud at IHC to have identified several innovative solutions and implemented together with our humanitarian community, Technologies have been always instrumental for the success of the humanitarian actions. In 2020 with the Covid-19 pandemic, innovative solutions such as the Humanitarian Logistics Databank for tracing the aid stocks, the Flash Media Studio to raise awareness on humanitarian actions, the semi-automated Kitting Center for assembling medical, hygiene and aid kits, and the Cold-chain Centre for the storage and management of medicines and vaccines, are demonstrated a crucial role for the today and future actions”
He added: “The International humanitarian city, together with its community, is continuing its journey by preparing itself for any new challenges, creating new synergies and partnerships with innovators, in addition to partnering with private sector players operating with high-level standards. IHC participation in this exhibition together with other Dubai Government entities, will give us an opportunity to showcase also the government support in the humanitarian action worldwide and continuing to encourage for acting as One Humanity”.
