U.N. agencies continue to send humanitarian aid to those affected by the civil conflict in Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia from their emergency response depots based at the International Humanitarian City (IHC), Dubai,.

As of June 29, the UN refugee agency UNHCR has sent a total of 11 flights to the affected region. These include the 6 flights that were sent to Andijan in Uzbekistan at the beginning of the crisis, and 5 more flights to Kyrgyzstan in the last few days.

The flights carried two armored vehicles, telecommunication and security equipment, as well as blankets, kitchen sets, plastic sheeting and collapsible jerry cans.

The World Food Programme (WFP) would have also sent 5 flights to Kyrgyzstan & Uzbekistan  from their emergency stocks in IHC, Dubai by June 30th. Their shipments include  critical emergency tools useful in a conflict situation, such as armored vehicles, ICT equipment, ballistic helmets and vests, along with high energy biscuits, water tanks and tool kits.
